Yeah, so sell the Mac for $80 or something and buy something else, preferably with at least an Intel i3 processor.

Well, if he could buy an i5 or i7, that'd be even better, but maybe he can't afford either of those two or the i4. I3 should be the bare minimum.

My Mac is my family computer. It is from 2005. It runs pretty fast, but when i record on quicktime player its just barely laggy enough that it is no good...... if that makes sense...
